    New User Guide: Connecting to the Message Boards
    Welcome! If you are new to Bulletin Board Systems (BBS), please follow these steps to connect and register using fTelnet.
    1. Accessing the BBS

    Connection: Go to our Home Page and click the "Connect via Telnet" button in the top menu.
    Initiate Sign-Up: When the terminal window appears, type new at the login prompt and press Enter to start your registration.

    2. Initial Terminal Setup
    Before the form begins, the system will calibrate your connection:

    Backspace Test: Press your Backspace key when prompted to ensure the system recognizes your inputs.
    Mouse Support: When asked if your terminal supports a mouse, press Y for Yes.
    Graphics (CP437): When asked about IBM Extended ASCII (CP437) support, press Y for Yes. This is crucial for viewing the hobby boards and UAP graphics correctly.
