• Favorite fast food items

With the recent threads on fast food here recently, I thought of this.. Although fast food isn't necessarily healthy or has the best ingredients, I think it can be okay in moderation, to pick up some fast food every so often. What are some of your favorite fast food items (i.e., favorite burger, favorite Mexican food, & so on)?

This could have been a poll, but there are a lot of fast food places, some which are also regional..

    For me:

    Burgers:
Wendy's has been a favorite of mine recently. I like their Dave's burgers (single or double) - I think they're tasty, and they seem fairly fresh too (and they say their burger patties are never frozen - maybe that's true?).

Also, for value, I think Red Robin's Tavern Double is a pretty good burger at a good price. And yesterday, I saw that Red Robin has a meal deal where you can get one of their Tavern Double burgers, fries, and a soft drink for $9.99. That's cheaper than some fast food places..

I also like A&W's Papa Burger, Burger King's Whopper, and In-N-Out burgers.

There's a local northwest burger chain in my area called Burgerville, and I think they make pretty good burgers too.

    Mexican fast food:
Admittedly I do like Taco Bell sometimes, but also Del Taco and Taco Time (and I think Taco Time is mainly in the northwest US). I think Baja Fresh and Victorico's are pretty good too.

    Pizza:
These days, my favorites tend to be Papa Murphy's, Round Table, and a couple that are more regional here (Abby's Legendary Pizza and Belaggio's). For value, I think Little Caesar's isn't bad for the price.

To add to my list of favorite fast food places - Sandwiches: Jersey Mike's has been a favorite of mine lately. I like their Original Italian. I also like Firehouse Subs and sometimes Jimmy John's. But IMO, a lot of places have good sandwiches. I tend not to visit Subway these days though, as I think the aforementioned places are better overall.

Speaking of sandwiches, there's a place that started locally here, slowly grew to open a couple more stores in town, and now suddenly has a bunch of them
all over The States probably due to franchising. It's called Cheba Hut. Yeah, pot themed.. One of their slogans is "Where the only thing fried is the occasional customer" and their sandwiches are all strain names. All it takes is one try, though, and it would be anyone's favorite sandwich place ;). Their chebahut.com website shows all their locations.. maybe you're lucky enough to be near one?

McDonalds Quarter Pounder when driving (or the triple cheeseburger),
both have less condiments to spill in your lap.

Carls Jr. Western Bacon Cheeseburger and a plain old whopper if I'm on a
    work break.

I don't recall ever seeing wings at Taco Bell.. I just looked at their menu in the app now to double check and didn't find them. ??

In 2010, I briefly moved to another town in my state for a job, and there was a Cheba Hut there. And I happened to be living there on April 20, and they had deals that day due to the pot theme (4/20, or 420). I thought they were good, though I don't remember them relaly standing out from other sandwich places.

Really?! Bummer. Either they got rid of them or it's just a regional thing.

Could be a regional thing. When I went out to L.A., an Arby's there offered a pulled pork sandwitch which mine back home didn't; hadn't even heard of it.

I make it a point of not eating at any place with "Hut" in the name.
Had a bad experience at a Tofu Hut once.

Also have an A&W close by, they have a bad fly infestation problem
there. Thats why I never go there.

That's too bad - I remember car hop service when I was growing up, with
cold glass mugs of root beer. Although, I think you only got the mugs
with dine-in service, now that I think about it.

    I'm stealing that for a tagline :)
